How to fix the Netgear extender error?

  • Disconnect all wifi-enabled devices that are linked to your range extender.
  • Unplug the extender from the wall and turn it off.
  • Allow your wifi device to rest for a while.
  • Then, reconnect your extender to the wall outlet and turn it on.

  • Enter the new password for your extender under the Password option.
  • Click the Apply button to save your changes.
  • Open a new web browser tab and log in to your device with mywifiext.
  • Navigate to the Advanced menu and select Administration.
  • Look for the option Firmware Update. When you find it, click on it and follow the on-screen instructions to finish updating your device.

  • You can also use the 192.168.1.250 default IP address to upgrade your device’s firmware.
